Welcome to Courtsports Racquetball!
Courtsports is known for it's exceptional
racquetball
leagues, tournaments, and play days. Due to the abundance of both
men and women players, all activities are a success. We provide the
opportunity for all newcomers to be introduced to other players through
leagues, ladders, doubles round robins, challenge court, and free group racquetball
lessons.

Free Group Lessons
Courtsports offers FREE group lessons each
month at both locations. All Levels are welcome to come!
Forehand, backhand, shot selection, court positioning, and rules are
covered at each lesson. This lesson is a great opportunity to be
introduced to racquetball and to meet other players who are at your same
level. Racquets, eyeguards, and balls are provided to you during the lesson.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are taught by Sherri Meininger, an
AmPro Certified Club Pro with 25 years of teaching experience.
Cost: $30 for an hour and $18 for a half hour.
Semi-Private lessons are also available. The cost for these is $18
per person per hour.
Non-members can take private lessons at Courtsports, however they would
need to pay the guest fee on top of the lesson fee.
Group Junior Lessons
Junior racquetball lessons run for 5 weeks and are available for juniors
age 6 to 8 and 9 to 14. Each five week session covers forehand,
backhand, serves, shot selection, speed drills, and round robin play.
Cost: $20 for members, $30 for non-members
Group Adult Lessons
The four week racquetball clinic for adults is
a great way to improve your game. The clinic teaches you stroke
mechanics, form, shot selection, court positioning, and lots of great
drills to improve your game.
Cost: $35 for members, $45 for non-members

Leagues
Racquetball leagues are offered year round for all levels. Leagues
typically run for 8 - 12 weeks each session. Levels from Open to D for both men
and women are offered. With over 25 leagues and times to choose from, you are
sure to find the perfect league for you!
All leagues cost $10. Information on current leagues can be found in the newsletter or at the service desk.
Doubles Round Robin Play Days
Courtsports offers regular Play Days for levels O/A, A/B, and B/C for
Men; O/A and B/C for Women; and all levels for Mixed Doubles.
Players do not need a partner to participate, since they change every
game. Many of the events are pot luck, which is an added bonus
after playing 2 to 3 hours of racquetball. Play Days are a great
way to meet new players; check out our monthly newsletter for this months dates.
Cost: $5 plus a potluck

Tournaments
Courtsports hosts several tournaments per year.
These tournaments are open to players of any level, and many of them
incorporate players from all over the state. Large tournaments
offer the challenge of excellent competition from all over the
Northwest. The smaller tournaments are more intimate and social.
Tournaments vary in price, but usually include meals, drinks, a T-shirt,
and prizes (if you come in 1st or 2nd place). Check out our monthly newsletter for current tournament information.
Springfield Club Anniversary
Doubles Tournament
This tournament is a 2 day doubles only tournament. This
tournament is open to anyone but consists primarily of Club members. Men's, Women's, and
Mixed of all levels are offered.
Valley Racquetball Tournament - In Memory of Nathan Hennessey
This tournament is a 3 day event and is open to all players in the Willamette
Valley, including Corvallis, Salem, and Eugene. Singles and
Doubles of all levels are offered.
Griffith Memorial Tournament
This tournament is our largest of the year, with over 200 participants,
and lasts 4 days.
This is a Oregon Racquetball Association tournament and is open to all
players in Oregon, Washington, and California. Singles and Doubles of all levels are offered.
Valentines Mixed Doubles Tournament
This tournament is a small 1 - 2 day mixed doubles only tournament. Mixed Doubles of all levels are offered.
Round Robin format so all participants are guaranteed 3 - 5 games.
Club Championships
This tournament is limited to Courtsports members. Our members
compete to become our Club Champion. Singles and Doubles of all
levels are offered.
